W. Michael “Mike” Cline, President and Consulting Geophysicist, has a diverse range of computer-oriented seismic interpretation experience in the energy industry. During the first ten years of his career, he was employed by large contractors, major oil and gas companies and small independents. Since he first started consulting in 1985, he has specialized in workstation-based applications which are focused on petroleum exploration and development and has become proficient in a wide range of seismic interpretation methods which have resulted in numerous, and successful well recommendations.
He is licensed by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists (#2060 — Geophysics specialty), and holds active, long-time memberships in the SEG, AAPG, HGS, and GSH professional, geoscience organizations. He is also past-Chairman of the Houston Geological Society Personnel Placement Committee, and was responsible for the HGS GeoJob Bank website. In addition, he has authored numerous articles, and given oral presentations and in-house seminars on the subject of computer applications relating to geophysical interpretation.
